Kamikaze
In World War II the Japanese defended their southern island of Okinawa against the Americans with suicide fighter missions. Kamikaze is usually translated as "divine wind" and has its origins in the failed Mongol invasions of Japan back in 1274 and 1281 AD. (Typhoons destroyed the Mongol ships, thus saving the nation from probable destruction.) This clip is from 'The World at War' - a very famous WWII documenary series.
